David Derrick’s work can be seen in fine art galleries, children’s books and on the big screen. A native of Utah David studied painting and drawing at the University of Utah and went on to study animation at CalARTS. David has worked at DreamWorks feature animation as a story artist since 2004 lending his talents to Bee Movie, Flushed Away, Megamind, Mad Valentine, How to Train Your Dragon and most recently Rise of the Guardians. David’s fine art sculptures are displayed on the prestigious El Paseo drive in Palm Desert at the J. Willott Gallery. David lives with his wife three kids a parrot and a sheep dog.
