I’m pretty much done with my up coming book Animals Don’t So I Won’t. The art that is, now we have to do the typography and design. All of the paintings have been done in water color and pen and ink. The book will be out sometime this fall.
I’m plowing through these paintings, hoping to finish them by next week. The book will come out later this fall. More to come.
This book deadline is hovering like a guillotine above my neck. I’ve got to get most of the painting out this month so we’ll be ready to print. This is a cover which may or may not be on the final book but one that I’m happy with.

Who doesn’t like platypuses they’re cute, odd and they have venomous spurs on their heels (true story.) A while back I was playing with an idea about a platypus mad max style who put a lawn mower engine on a a big wheel and became a kind of vigilante hero of the highway.
I’m excited to announce that I’m in the middle of a book which will come out this fall. The story and paintings are coming along nicely. Here is an image I just finished for one of the pages. More to come.
I just finished the dummy for this book and sent it off to my agent. I’m crossing my fingers they like the art and the story.
Just finished inking this without messing it up. Now hopefully I don’t mess it up when I paint it. That’s what I love about using real mediums versus photoshop. There is no undo, the stakes are high do or die. I think it makes the artist more aware and present when you don’t have the automatic crutch of the undo button.
