Not a Dinosaur a Dimetrodon

This is an image for my latest children’s book I’ve been working on. No it’s not about dinosaurs. It’s about a dimetrodon (a mammal-like reptile and precursor to the dinosaurs.) I just finished the 32 page dummy and have sent if off for review.

MegaMind!

MegaMind came out this past weekend. I had the opportunity to work on this film for two years, but not two straight years. Like many films it went through different versions and leadership.  Film making and any collaborative creative endevour is always a grind but in this case I think it paid off.  The film went through many different versions, and most of them had different names too: originally it was named Mastermind but that proved too difficult to trademark, then Obermind, briefly Blunatic and finally MegaMind. All the different story crews I worked with were stellar and in the end the story was fun and engaging. Here are a few random story sketches I did while on the film.

A hometown Newspaper the Globe interviewed me and ran an online article on my contributions as a story artist. Click here to see the link

Odd Day Sketch: Tall 2

I just saw Dave Pimentel’s odd day sketch and dang ours are nearly identical.  So to save face I’m putting this one up.

I’m a big basketball fan always have been when I was about ten years old I did a Jazz basketball camp.  I’ll never forget how small I felt next to Thurl Baily and Mark Eaton.  I wasn’t prepared for their height, maybe because they were only a few inches tall on my TV screen and I thought that my Dad was the tallest person. But at least I got their autograph.
